KTM bikes, which are manufactured in India, are soon to be exported to the United States of America by Bajaj, as per the news reports received. This renowned company is all set to become the first one to be exporting bike models to the US. This decision comes at a time when the Austrian maker, KTM has found a strong foothold in the market. Its bikes rank as one of the favourites among the modern generation in a number of segments. Some factors like high fuel economy, an inclination towards the naked design and a racing aptitude have favoured this company.

Currently, Bajaj Auto, the leading name in the Indian automobile industry owns 47 per cent of the Austrian sports motorcycle giant, KTM. The brand manufactures some of its most popular models like the Duke 200, Duke 125 and the Duke 390 at its Chakan centre near Pune and gets them exported. Even the upcoming RC 390 and RC 200 are expected to be manufactured here and sold to the overseas market. However, there was not any formal confirmation from KTM regarding which bikes were being sent to the US.

Bajaj Auto, in a formal statement recently had declared that it would focus on the market for motorcycles as for now. It would not delve into the scooter segment presently. It is eyeing a tremendous possibility of a growing market in Africa, as the number of units sent to Nigeria has become almost up to 50000 units. In the recent future, this number is expected to rise to 70000, if all goes well. In the last one year, Bajaj Auto has made a foray in a number of nations like Mexico, Argentina. There were plans that the company will also make a venture in Brazil, as well. It is considered as among the leading markets in Latin America. Bajaj Auto has declared that it would enter Brazil sometime in the near future along with KTM to tap the immense opportunities there.
