Tata owned Jaguar Land Rover is set to showcase its all new concept cars, namely Jaguar CX16 and Land Rover DC100, at the 11th edition of Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Delphi Automotives, one of the largest automotive parts manufacturers in the world, will also be showcasing its innovative technologies at the upcoming auto show.
Witnessing the growth in the Indian automobile market, Jaguar Land Rover has decided to skip the North American International Auto Show that is scheduled to take place on 9th January at Cobo Hall, Detroit.
Jaguar Land Rover’s CX16 concept relates to premium car brand while DC 100 concept will act as substitute for its previous model Land Rover Defender. Both the concept car models have already been displayed in September 2011 at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
According to the designers of Land Rover DC100, the model is a blend of durability and functionality. Jaguar Land Rover will be competing against Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford and Hyundai that would be unveiling their new and upgraded car models at the expo as well.
Delphi Automobiles will be introducing new products that would be associated with Safe, Green and Connected issues. As per the statement given by Reji Varghese, President and Managing Director of Delphi India, the company is ready to expand its presence in India by bringing in manufacturing and engineering advancements that will be environment friendly. With this step they would be encouraging the automobile industry to follow the Safe and Green theme.
Hall 4 and Stand 4.2 of the Delhi Auto Expo 2012 will showcase the products by Delphi. The Indian automobile manufacturers can benefit from advanced products like gas engines and aluminium cables. Gas engines will result in higher fuel efficiency and aluminium cables will decrease the weight of automobiles by 48%. The introduction of new car models and innovative products at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo will promote advanced technology along with eco solutions.
