      Auto Expo 2012: GM India set to amaze car enthusiast by showcasing six upcoming Chevrolet car models

      General Motors India, a subsidiary of the American auto giant General Motors, is all set to amaze the car enthusiasts at the upcoming Delhi International Auto Expo with the display of a range of its global portfolio cars.

      The most anticipated among these will be Chevrolet Sail hatchback and saloon that has been developed jointly by GM China and SAIC. The Chevrolet Sail model is expected to borrow the Beat’s 1.2-litre petrol engine, delivering a peak power of 79bhp. On the other hand, the diesel version of the car will come powered by Fiat’s 1.3 liter multijet engine, after a few months of the launch of petrol version.

      The next big thing at the GM’s platform will be CN-100 model of its Chinese partner Wuling-SAIC. The 7 seater CN-100 model will come powered by a 1.4L petrol engine which will be delivering a peak power of 102 bhp. Moreover, the diesel version of the car will come powered by the same 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine sourced from Fiat to which company will be using in Sail model.

      Moreover, a Face-lifted Captiva and new generation model of Tavera will be two much awaited upgrades, to which company will showcase at the expo. The new Captiva will come powered by more powerful 2.2-litre diesel unit, delivering a peak power of 184 bhp. On the other hand new Tavera will e showcased with a new more powerful BS-IV compatible diesel engine, sourced from ICML.

      In a bid to further boost the excitement at its platform, the company will showcase new WTCC Chevrolet Cruze
