Audi tweaks Q7 range, prices increased

Audi India has given a mild tweak to the line-up of its Q7 crossover. The company has equipped all three variants viz; Premium, Premium Plus and Technology with features like reverse parking guidance system and panoramic sunroof. Other than these the company is also offering air suspension as a standard fare across Q7 variants. Interestingly these features are now being offered as a standard fitment across Q7 range. A Sport Line Body Kit that comprise of restyled front and rear bumpers, side skirts and 10 spoke, 19 inch alloy wheels is also available on Premium Plus and Technology variants.

The crossover is now available in two engine options including the 3.0 litre V6 turbo diesel mill and the 4.2 litre V8 turbo diesel powertrain only. On the other hand the 3.0 litre TFSI turbo petrol engine has been removed from the Q7 range owing to sagging sales of the variant.

Powering the entry level variants of Q7, 3.0 litre TDI engine is capable of churning out maximum power output of 240 Bhp along with peak torque of 550 Nm. Equipped in the high end Q7 variant, 4.2 litre TDI engine engenders top power and torque output of 335 Bhp and 800 Nm respectively. Both the engines work in symbioses with all wheel drive system and are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The abrupt tweaks in Q7 line-up has led to a slight bump in price across variants. The 3.0 litre TDI variants are assembled locally in India the company’s manufacturing unit, the new pricing shows that 3.0 TDI premium is now Rs 4.2 lakh pricier at Rs 64.50 lakh, similarly, 3.0 TDI Premium Plus will now cost Rs 4.32 more at Rs 70.01 lakh and lastly 3.0 litre Technology variant is now expensive by Rs 7.58 lakh at Rs 79.93 lakh. The range topping 4.2 litre TDI Technology variant now costs Rs 87.93 lakh that is around Rs 10.75 lakh pricier than before. Please note that all prices mentioned above are Ex-Showroom Delhi prices.
