Audi India, the leading luxury car maker in the Indian auto market, is all set to launch its much popular luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV) – Audi Q7 – in the country in the second quarter of this year.

The Q7 crossover will be brought to the Indian market through CKD (completely knocked down) unit route, followed by its assembling at the firm’s Aurangabad based manufacturing unit in Maharashtra. Importing the vehicle through CKD route will enable the firm to price this model more competitively, as it will be attracting lesser excise duty as compared to the CBU (completely Built Unit) route.
