      Audi India introduces facelift model of Q5 SUV

      Audi, the German luxury auto maker, has launched a facelift model of its Q5 Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the Indian auto market. The reworked model is offered with a price tag of around Rs 43 lakhs to Rs 49 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi). Expressing his views on the launch of latest Q5, the Head of Audi India, Michael Perschke said, “After the overwhelming response to our Q range SUV line-up, it is but logical, to introduce the new version of the Audi Q5 in India.”

      Reportedly, the new model has been offered in three different engine options, namely 2.0 TDIq, 2.0 TFSIq and 3.0 TDIq. Besides technical configuration, the 2013 Q5 features new credentials in infotainment, design and assistance systems.

      In its new model, the Audi India has fitted a hexagonal grille at the front fascia, which provides it a dominant look. Its xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights makes the new Q5 look sharper and smarter over the previous generation model. Reportedly, the new model of Audi Q5 has been offered in six new vibrant colours, which will surely lure the Indian buyers.

      He further said that the new SUV will surely help the auto maker to strengthen its prime position in the premium SUV segment of the Indian auto market. In 2012, the auto maker delivered 9,003 units in the country and also inaugurated new dealerships in different parts of India, like Bhopal, Coimbatore, Delhi West, Goa, Kanpur, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur and Raipur.

      Perschke said, “We hope to continue our impressive performance and mark an equally strong growth in 2013 despite uncertain economic conditions.”
