Toyota Fortuner has been a popular choice in the upmarket SUV segment in the country. As a pleasant start to the new year, the carmaker has launched a new Fortuner in 2WD and 4WD with a smaller capacity engine. The carmaker has borrowed the 2.5 liter turbocharged diesel engine from Innova for the new Fortuner that is also available in automatic and manual transmission options. The 4x2 Fortuner in manual trim is offered 24.44 lakh, whereas the 4x2 automatic trim has been priced at Rs. 25.26 lakh.
Though the new Fortuner gets a smaller engine, it has been tuned to deliver better performance figures. As part of new features the vehicle gets new features like – climate control, reverse parking camera, touchscreen for music system, electrically adjustable driver's seat, multi-functional steering wheel and leather seats. As for safety, the vehicle gets features like dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution system (EBD).
On the exterior front the vehicle gets dual-tone radiator grille, rear spoiler, body graphics and side skirts as part of TRD Sportivo package. The vehicle also gets powerful halogen headlamps. Following is price list for Fortuner variants (Ex-showroom Delhi):
