      2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift makes its global debut

      The 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift has finally made its official debut at the Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The updated version of the MPV receives some cosmetic changes, though the engines remain unchanged. Expected to launch during festive season, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will face competition from the cars like the Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy and Renault Lodgy.

      The facelifted Ertiga gets a bolder triple-slat chrome grille with revised air dam, new radiator grille, modified bumper and fog lamp enclosures with chrome bezels on the front end. Though, the bonnet design remains unchanged. Other noteworthy features include 10-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels, taillight cluster with new reflector elements, modified rear bumper, license plate with thick chrome garnish and rear parking sensors.

      For the Indonesian market, the 2015 Ertiga facelift will be available in three variants – GA, GL and GX - and seven color options – Graphite Gray, Burgundy Red Pearl, Radiant Red Pearl Metallic, Silky Silver Metallic, Snow White Pearl, Cool Black Pearl, and Lilac Gray Metallic. Inside the cabin, the Ertiga facelift gets dual-tone (Black & Brown) finish dashboard, silver inserts for the steering wheel and new dark brown seat fabric, gear stalk and doors. It also comes equipped with electric ORVMs, one push power up windows for driver, 12V socket, 50:50 split for the third row seats, dual airbags, anti-lock braking system, etc. The NVH levels, too, have been improved.
       
      The new Ertiga facelift continues to feature the existing engine lineup – a 1.4-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel.  The former is downsized by 2.9bhp for producing a maximum power of 90.7bhp and 130Nm of torque. Transmission options will also remain unchanged – a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic. 
       
      The 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift is expected to be offered within the price range of Rs. 6 lakh – Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
