Audi India has officially revealed that it will launch the 2015 A6 facelift in the country on August 20. 2015. Unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the 2015 Audi A6 facelift has received major exterior and interior updates; though the engine options will remain unchanged.
For the Indian market, the A6 facelift will continue to be available with the existing 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TDI diesel and TFSI petrol engine lineup. The former produces a maximum power of 174.33bhp at 3,750rpm – 4,200rpm and 380Nm of torque at 1,750rpm – 2,500rpm, while the latter one is good for 177.01bhp and 320Nm. Transmitting power to the front wheels is an Audi’s Multitronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox. It also gets an adaptive air suspension system as a standard feature.
Talking about the design, the A6 facelift features a slightly modified singleframe grille, revised bumpers, A8-inspired Matrix LED headlights with Audi’s Dynamic turn indicators and redesigned taillights with LED bands. Inside the cabin, the sedan gets MMI display with more efficient Nvidia Tegra 30 graphics chip, and new dashboard and seat trims. Though, there is no clarity if the India-bound A6 facelift will get ventilation and massage options like its European counterpart.
Since the 2015 Audi A6 facelift will be pitted against the Mercedes-Benz E Class, BMW 5 Series and Jaguar XF, it is expected to be priced within the range of Rs. 48 lakh – Rs. 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
