For a while now news has been doing rounds about a new Tata Safari Storme MY16 undergoing road test. As per sources MY16 is believed to be 'model year 2016' is likely to be named as Safari 400 that would likely be launched next year. The company plans on moving ahead with an aggressive stance by launching new products every year.
The yet to be launched Tata Safari 400 is expected to be powered by the existing 2.2-litre engine that shall be tuned to deliver enhanced power output of about 170bhp with 400Nm of max torque. Apart from six-speed manual transmission, the new Safari is also expected to be offered with an optional six-speed ZF transmission.
For now more details about the vehicle has not been revealed by the company. However, sources believe that the company may integrate a Harman music system with an output from about 10 speakers. The vehicle shall be tuned to deliver best power, fuel efficiency and latest features to make it a best proposition in its segment. As for pricing, it is likely to be offered between Rs 10 – 15 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
