      Yamaha initiates dealer training for R25, launch expected in second quarter of 2015

      In India, Yamaha has been a brand that has been synonymous with performance motorcycles. The image for the brand is now indeed building up as a fuel efficient motorcycle brand in the country. The 2015 R25 is indeed one of the most anticipated bike that is due for launch sometime in second quarter of next year. Reportedly, Yamaha has already started training dealers to handle the R25 range of motorbike.

      A test Yamaha R25 has already been showcased to the dealers and over the period of next four months the sources from the company would be training resources once every month on the technicality of the vehicle. The training shall also help with the anticipated launch of R3 trim in the country. The upcoming R25 shall be powered by 249cc parallel-twin cylinder DOHC, 8-valve engine that is capable of generating about enormous 36 PS of power at 12,000 RPM and 22.6 Nm of torque at 10,000 RPM. The powerful engine shall be mated to a 6-speed transmission. For complete control under all times, the bike gets front and rear disc brakes along with 41 mm telescopic front forks along with a monocross set-up for the rear wheels.

      The Yamaha R25 is expected to be offered at a price tag of about Rs. 2.85 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) and is likely to feature the hi-end ABS feature. Post launch the Yamaha R25 is likely to be a strong competitor against KTM Duke 390.
