Yamaha Alpha has been latest offering by the Japanese bike maker in the automatic scooter segment in the country. The company has recently identified some minor issues with the O-Ring located on the scooter's engine head. This flaw has caused oil leakage problems from the engine. The problem can be easily fixed and it would take just about 3 hours. Affected customers can expect a call from the company for appointments and the repair work would be conducted free of cost.
The repair work would be conducted at the nearest Yamaha facility. The scooter comes with a 110cc four stroke petrol engine is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox that is capable of generating about 7 Bhp of power with a torque output of about 8.1 Nm. The scooter has been positioned as a competitor against the new Mahindra Gusto, Honda Activa and the Suzuki Lets scooters. The scooter is offered at a price tag of Rs. 48,000 (Ex-showroom New Delhi).
