      Volkswagen Vento is 4390x1699x1467 in length, breadth and height whereas Ciaz is 4490x1730x1485 in length, breadth and height. The wheelbase of Vento is 2552 mm thick and that of Ciaz is 2650 mm thick. Ciaz offers 170 mm ground clearance slightly more than Vento’s that is 163mm.

      Capacity: Both Vento and Ciaz offer a five person seating capacity and both have four doors with two seating rows. Ciaz offers a higher boot space of 510 liters compared to Vento which offers only 494 liters however fuel capacity of Vento is 55 liters and that of Ciaz is 43 liters.

      Engine and transmission: Vento is installed with a TDI engine whereas Ciaz is not. Vento offers a displacement of 1498 mm whereas Ciaz offers 1248 mm of displacement. Both are diesel cars. Vento delivers a maximum power of 103 bhp at 4400 rpm whereas Ciaz delivers a maximum power of 89 bhp at 4000 rpm. Ciaz offers a better mileage of 26.21 kmpl whereas Vento offers 20.64 kmpl. They both have four inline cylinders and are manually handled. Both have 5 gears too.

      Suspension, Brakes, Steering & Tires: Vento is installed with McPherson strut and a stabilizer bar whereas Ciaz is installed only with a McPherson strut. Both have front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. Vento also offers electronic power steering whereas Ciaz does not.

Both of them have heaters installed and a power steering. Both have front & rear power windows and a rear defogger. Vento has conventional headlamps whereas Ciaz has projector headlamps.

      The Volkswagen's Vento is offered at a price tag of about Rs 10.67 lakhs, whereas the Ciaz from Maruti Suzuki is offered for about Rs. 8.25 lakhs.
