Check out how Alfa Romeo’s upcoming SUV, the Castello, could look like through this digital rendering. The Castello is believed to be one of the two high-riding SUVs that are currently being developed by Alfa Romeo.
Although the other upcoming SUV from the car maker is likely to be an entry-level SUV, sources speculate that the Alfa Romeo Castello will be the top-of-the-line product from the company and will be positioned above the brand’s latest SUV offering, the Stelvio.
The Alfa Romeo Castello could be powered by the same 2.9-litre V6 bi-turbo 510bhp petrol motor that is seen in the range-topping Stelvio. Furthermore, it is expected to hit the international arena by the year 2020, and will be underpinned by the brand’s Giorgio platform.
One can expect the Castello to get similar design lines from its siblings, the Giulia and the Stelvio, and the vehicle should be around the same size as the BMW X5. Despite Alfa Romeo’s future product line-up (revealed last year) showing a full-size sedan to be their next product, we believe that the current SUV demand will influence the brand to introduce an SUV instead.
