      Toyota touches one million sales mark, doles out lucrative schemes

      Toyota India touched one million sales mark today when its authorized dealer, Nippon Toyota, located in Cochin handed over a Toyota Etios sedan to a customer. The keys of the car were handed over to the customer at a ceremony held to celebrate the achievement of one million sales mark. In the form of extended celebrations, Toyota has doled out a special scheme which will be limited to the month of March 2014. Under this scheme, customers will have the choice to either opt for benefits of up to Rs 40,000 or avail lucrative Finance Schemes (offering low interest rates/100% on road funding) via its finance arm, Toyota Financial Services, India.

      It has been a great Itinerary for Toyota in India, achievement of one million sales mark in the thriving Indian auto market is a huge milestone for the company. Toyota has been present in India since 1997, the company carved a niche for itself in the SUV and MPV segment with cars like Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner. In 2011, the company forayed into mass segment with Etios twins (Etios sedan and Liva hatchback) developed exquisitely for Indian car market.

      Mr. N.Raja, Senior Vice President, TKM was present at the ceremony, addressing the occasion he thanked customers who made it possible to reach this landmark. He also thanked dealer partners, employees and suppliers without whom the company would not have been able to achieve this milestone. He further said, that India is an important market and the company will continue to offer globally appreciated QDR products in the domestic market. 

      Toyota is the fourth largest car maker in India, even since its entry in India since 1997, the company has prospered, thanks to the increased localisation of its vehicles and expansion of dealer network along with supplier partners. The company also has its outlets scattered across the country, the company has also enhanced its production capacity to meet growing demand.
