The recall would mostly include cars from Europe and Japan. The problem identified were issues with the ball joint that may be faulty and can cause a loss in control of the vehicle. Post inspection the company may repair or even replace the part when required. The list includes 1,70,000 Camry units of which about 1,20,000 units are in Europe, whereas the rest are in Japan and US markets.

As part of another recall, Toyota has also called for 105,800 Hiace, Regius Ace and Dyna models that are mostly sold in Japan for issues over a fuel pipe defect. Whereas the other recall is for Crown and Crown Majesta vehicles that have been found to have flaws with the seat belts.
