      The hatchback segment in the Indian market is the most important for all automakers and most of them give it supreme importance. Statistically speaking, Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai, two of the bestselling car makers in the country, have a wide range of hatchbacks on sale and that is the reason why they are on top. With buyer power increasing day by day, car makers are offer more and more in hatchbacks in terms of features. One example of this is auto makers introducing automated-manual transmission or AMT versions of hatchbacks in India, something that did not happen earlier.
