The Auto Expo offers a huge platform to companies operating in India for showcasing new products and facelift versions. Besides future company goals, a lot is shared by firms during the course of this event. This essentially suggests the importance of such shows conducted in the country from time to time. So, it would be a good idea to preview security arrangements that are made by concerned agencies and police staff to negate any unfortunate happening at the venue.

It is a well-known fact that the 12th edition of Auto Expo Motor Show will be held in Greater Noida from 7th February 2014. According to a report by Economic Times, SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) has confirmed that ample security arrangements have been made for the upcoming Auto Expo-Motor show. Notably, the week-long event will be organised by SIAM, CII and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA).

Sugato Sen, SIAM Deputy Director General, has confirmed that there would be a three-layer security system at the venue. CCTV cameras will cover video footage of the entire venue. Besides this, other security equipment like scanners and metal detectors would be in place to ensure safety of all participants and foreign dignitaries. Sen also stated, “We also plan to operate free bus service from Noida City Centre, Akshardham and Jasola metro stations. In addition, free bus service from Pragati Maidan to the venue would be provided to the visitors.”

Vikram S Kirloskar, SIAM president and Vice-Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, reportedly said, “It is going to be an exciting show. Despite the change in the venue (from Pragati Maidan in Delhi to Greater Noida), visitors will have an easy access to the new location.”

The upcoming Auto Expo Motor Show will be grand and pompous. It will held at the venue that spreads across 58 acres of land and will have 14 exhibition halls. This unique platform would be used by over 50 exhibitors from both, India and abroad, to show off their cars, multi-utility vehicles, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, concept vehicles, commercial vehicles, vintage cars, supercars and superbikes. Pawan Goenka, Mahindra & Mahindra Executive Director and President (Automotive & Farm Equipment), reportedly commented, “Our primary objective of holding the show is showcasing India. Auto expo is, perhaps, largest exposure of the industry to the world. And we have all paraphernalia in place to make it a big success.”

Besides 12th edition of Auto Expo, the 12th Auto Expo on components will also be held at Pragati Maidan from 6th February to 9th February 2014. Sen confirmed that at the Auto-Expo Component Show, around 1200 participants are likely to participate with representatives from countries like China, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Korea and Japan having their own pavilions.
