In recent months, Tata Motors has emerged strongly in the Indian market. The automaker reported an eight percent growth in sales (including exports) with 57,145 vehicles as opposed to 53,057 vehicles in March 2016.  On the domestic front, the automaker reportedly sold 51,309 units, higher than 10 per cent, as against a total sale of 46,701 units in the same period last year.

As for exports, the cumulative numbers for this fiscal year witnessed a 6 per cent growth with sales of 5, 42,561 units compared to 5, 11,705 vehicles sold in the previous fiscal year. Interestingly, the company witnessed a cumulative sales growth of 22 per cent in the domestic market with 1, 53,151 passenger vehicles sold as against 1, 25,946 units recorded in the last fiscal. The positive growth is a result of the company’s major volume driving product, the Tiago. Moreover, the automaker recently introduced the Hexa SUV as well as the Tigor compact sedan, which has a fair share of fan following. Moving away from its conventional identity, Tata Motors is geared up to take a giant leap ahead owing to its modern design philosophy along with modern technology on offer.

Back in March, Tata Motors unveiled the Recemo, a two-seat, mid-engine sports vehicle. The company’s first ever sports coupe has been introduced under the sub-brand Tamo. Along with modern technological upgrades, the vehicle is also based on a new design language. Judging by its steady growth, the future line-up from Tata is definitely expected to help the brand mark its presence in the commuter as well as the performance segments in India.
