At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Tata Motors had unveiled a few products that would be launched in India in the next couple of years. One such product was the Hexa crossover concept that will become the basis for an upcoming premium SUV. Most probably, it will replace the Aria upon its launch. The production-ready version of the car is likely to be unveiled at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

Here are 5 things you should know about this upcoming crossover -

1.Upon its launch, the crossover will become the first Tata car to feature a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Hexa is likely to be powered with a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder Varicor diesel engine, which will come with two transmission options - a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The engine offer an estimated power output of 154bhp with 400Nm of torque.

2.With revised front, the Hexa manages to achieve a lower drag coefficient that improves its top speed and fuel efficiency. Besides this, the crossover might get a torque-on-demand 4WD drivetrain and Terrain Response system on top-spec model.

3.On the exterior, the crossover receives some significant updates, when compared to the Aria, such as automatic projector headlamps, a honeycomb grille, daytime running lights, modified front and rear bumpers, wider air dam, 19-inches alloys, pronounced wheel arched with black cladding, LED tail lights and rectangular dual exhausts.

4.With 4,764mm length, 1,895mm width, 1,780mm height and 2,850mm wheelbase, the Hexa could be the most spacious and biggest SUV in its league.

5.The cabin too looks very updated with plenty of comfort-enhancing and safety features such as touch-screen infotainment system, navigation system, three spoke steering wheel, LED position lights, climate controls, dashboard with piano black finish, ESP (electronic stability control), six airbags, side and curtain airbags etc.
