Skoda Auto, the completely owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, has come up with new variants of its best selling sedan Rapid, namely Active Plus and Ambition Plus. The recently introduced models are incorporated with new features, which further add to the convenience of its customers.
The car maker forayed in the Indian auto market in November 2001 and since then, it is working in zeal to offer the most economical products with higher utility to its clientele. Skoda happens to be the fastest growing car maker of Europe and probably in India also. The company has established a cutting edge production unit in Shendra near Aurangabad, Maharashtra, which sprawls around a vast area of 300,000 square metres. Presently, the car maker has offered five models in the Indian auto industry, namely SKODA Superb premium sedan, Laura executive sedan, Fabia hatchback, Yeti compact premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and the newly introduced entry-level sedan Rapid. Skoda has maintained a strong dealership network of 106 showrooms across the India's length and breadth and has delivered more than 1,57,857 vehicles in the country since December 2001.
