Nissan India has stated that it is shuffling its senior management, marked by the ascension of Toshihiko Sano to the post of Managing Director of Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Limited. Sano presently holds the position of General Manager of Vehicle Production Engineering at the company. He is taking up the post vacated by Kou Kimora, who will move to Japan in order to start his new job at a senior position at Nissan’s manufacturing and industrial engineering division.
Kiminobu Tokuyama, the present Managing Director of Nissan India is also returning to his homeland to work as a senior executive at Yorozu Corporation, one of the major component suppliers of the company. His role will be taken up by Takayuki Ishida, who is the General Manager of the Indian department at the company’s base in Japan right now. He will, now, move to Chennai to take up his new position.
Toru Hasegawa, the president of Nissan Motor Asia Pacific (NMAP) and Nissan Motor (Thailand) and regional vice president of Asia and Oceania operations has been given the position of Corporate Vice President, Africa, Middle East and India (AMI). Hasegawa will supervise all associated consolidated companies in the region and will take care of overall performance of the organisation from April 1, 2012, including production, sales and procurement operations. He has taken up the place of Gilles Normand, who has now been awarded a senior role at Renault.
Trevor Mann has become the Senior Vice President for global supply chain management and operating committee - Africa, Middle East and India. He is presently the Senior Vice President of manufacturing, supply chain management, production engineering and purchasing for Europe at Nissan International S.A. He will oversee the work done by Toru Hasegawa.
