      Sales Network for Nissan to be Outsourced in India

      Nissan appointed Hover India Limited as its sales network partner for India. Its main aim would be to open nearly 55 dealer outlets in the country by 2012. Nissan currently has only five sales outlets in India and intends to expand its dealer network.

      Nissan is Japan’s third largest car maker. It marks its presence in India with its SUV X-Trail and Taena sedan. It is planning to expand its operations on the country and has decided to open more outlets. It also plans to launch eight new models in India including Nissan Murano which is slated for the next month launch in India. Murano is the latest crossover from Nissan that would be visible on the Indian roads. Four of the new models from Nissan shall be produced locally in India.

      Nissan has also announced $1 billion plant in South India that would be start its operations in 2010. It also has an agreement with Suzuki to procure vehicles. Renault-Nissan also has an alliance with Bajaj in India to produce yet another small car under $3000.
