Indian Motorcycles is known to showcase its upcoming and new models in the United States. Especially the Sturgis Rally is the main platform where this brand launches its new bikes. However, the Indian Scout will not be the only model to be showcased there this time around. A month is still left to go for the Sturgis Rally and the company has put forward the Roadmaster, its latest flagship model.

Pankaj Dubey, the head of the Polaris, was recently present at an event organised at the Buddh International Circuit in Delhi. He told that there are plans to launch the bike in India sometime soon, which meant that it will reach the Indian terrains next year. If that is to be believed, the Roadmaster is all set to become the latest, most updated and most expensive product under their banner.

When it comes to technical specifications, the Roadmaster is powered by the same ThunderStroke 111 engine, which has a displacement of 1811 cc. The torque output is equally massive at 139 Nm at 2600 rpm. Dexterously constructed, the two cylinders inside the V-shaped twin engine are oriented at 49 degrees with integrated oil cooled motor. Parallel pushrod tubes, finned heads, down firing exhausts and a left side air intake complete the mechanism of the bike. Transmission is done by the swift and smooth six-speed overdrive gearbox.

Riders are in for a treat on this Roadmaster definitely. The seats have been made heated with excess storage space of 140 litres to be precise. However, the weight of the bike has increased to a monstrous 421 kilograms when full and 385 kilograms when dry. Definitely, if you are looking to get a hand on the Roadmaster, you need to hit the gym well in advance. The new bike has been made for the heavy builds and the bike needs some momentum just for demounting from the prop stands.

Though, the pricing is not much of a hyped factor, but it will be interesting to see where the bike is placed. Though the Roadmaster is the flagship of Indian Motorcylces, it does not necessarily mean that the bike will be priced higher than the rest. The bike has been tagged at USD 26990, which when converted under the present exchange rates comes to 16 lakh INR. However, the bike is a CBU; thus, it can be expected to have a much higher ex-showroom price of around 35 lakhs INR, which takes it above the Indian chieftain, which has a tag of 33 lakhs INR.
