      Renault to Launch New models in India

      Renault India is planning to introduce five new models in the country along with its sedan model Fluence. Renault also stated that it will launch a compact car model between 2011 and 2013. "A three-year roadmap between 2011 and 2013 has been charted out with five products, including a small hatchback, identified to be launched in India," a senior official of Renault India.

      Renault has already been working on its dealership networks in India. By end of 2013, Renault intends to have more than 70 dealerships including those in Tier II and Tier III cities of India. Initially, it intends to have 7-8 dealers in metros when its first two products are launched. Moreover, the company has also hired several marketing companies to launch aggressive marketing campaign pan India. Its crossover model Renault Koleos is also slated for a launch by mid-2011.

      Renault has already axed its partnership with Mahindra following the failure of its model Logan in the Indian market. The company has decided to go on its own in the country and building its independent presence.
