As if Renault’s expansive line-up for the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo wasn’t impressive enough already, rumour has it that the French car maker will unveil the 2014 Koleos at the motor show. While the market is undecided if there’s any truth to those rumours, what we can tell you is the reason that probably warranted these reports. Renault India just released a teaser of the Renault Koleos SUV facelift via the social media route.
The image shows the SUV’s front grille, which comes across as rather daunting and spectacular this time. The company’s description of the teaser reads: ‘An imposing front grille makes its presence felt on any sort of road. The all-new Koleos is on its way’. The second image, which was released with the caption 'Outstandingly Comfortable', gives a preview of what’s in store in terms of the vehicle’s interiors. One can easily observe the beautifully crafted leather seats in along with other elements. The third and the final teaser reads 'Audaciously Smart', thus implying the possibility of the SUV housing numerous premium features like cruise control, hill assist, a button to switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, etc.
The facelifted Koleos will hopefully be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel motor, only a little tweaked in order to deliver better performance and mileage. The diesel motor is expected to generate a power output to the tune of 171Bhp and a maximum torque of 360Nm, which is effectively better than the current Koleos’ performance figures by 23Bhp and 46Nm. It will be seen going up against cars like the BMW X1, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, and Hyundai Santa Fe..
