In order to improve its sales in the country, Renault India has announced an interesting offer on its slow selling Pulse hatchback and Scala sedan. The French automaker is now selling the diesel variants of the Pulse and Scala at the price of their respective petrol versions.
As part of the limited period year-end stock clearance offer, Renault is offering Scala RxL diesel variant at a lucrative price of Rs. 8.01 lakh. Adding to it, the company is also giving a 2 years extended warranty and 4 years of free roadside assistance with the car.
Similarly, the company is also offering huge benefits on the Pulse hatchback. The top-end diesel variant of the hatchback now cost Rs. 5.19 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi. The hatchback also enjoys an extended warranty and free roadside assistance.
Recently, the company significantly reduced the prices of its top-selling Duster SUV, which is currently facing stiff competition from the newly launched Scorpio. The base 85PS RxL Duster is now priced at Rs. 9.29 lakh, while the top-end RxL AWD now tagged at 11.29 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi. Like the Pulse and Scala, the compact crossover is also available at 2 years extended warranty and 4 years of free roadside assistance benefits. Both Pulse and Scala have been facing tough competition in the market. In the period of May-October 2014, Renault managed to sell around an average monthly of 129 units, while the Scala accounted for 113 units each month.
