Renault Fluence, the popular premium sedan which was rolled-out in the Indian market last week, was launched in the pink city Jaipur on Saturday. The company has also inaugurated its first ever dealership in the city. The car has been launched in both petrol and diesel versions, with the petrol version starting at Rs 14.84 lakh (ex-showroom).
Speaking at the occasion, Renault India Managing Director Marc Nassif said, "Fluence, which has been recently launched in many global markets, has seen good success and we are aiming at prominent automobile markets in India, so we planned to unveil the car in Jaipur."
The company is confident of Fluence model’s good performance in the Indian market. Mr. Nassif said that the Fluence was designed for the Asian markets; hence the company is confident that it will shake up the segment. He added that India is one of three key strategic countries for Renault's international development and the Fluence is its first built-in India car.
The Fluence model has been rolled-out in the price segment of Rs 12 to 14 lakh, where it is competing with the likes of Honda Civic, Skoda Laura, Chevrolet Cruze and Toyota Corolla Altis.
