Luxury brand Land Rover is ready to introduce its new smaller SUV Range Rover Evoque in the international market. Tata Motors owned Land Rover has already launched the model in the British market and has given a kick-start to the pre-launch testing in the global market. The company has dispatched hundreds of test mules of Evoque for rigorous testing in some of the toughest conditions across the world.
The company will commercially launch the model in 2011 as a part of its 40 years celebration of Range Rover brand. "The all-new Range Rover Evoque has entered its final phase of testing, with hundreds of prototype models dispatched around the globe for trial in the toughest climates and conditions," the company said in a statement.
The Evoque will be tested in some of the toughest conditions in the world ranging from the Arctic region to the deserts of Africa and from German autobahns to Tokyo urban traffic snarls. Land Rover had said Evoque will be the smallest, lightest and most fuel-efficient model in the company's portfolio and will be sold in 160 countries across the world.
