Porsche, one of the leading luxury car makers in the European market, has now enhanced its Indian portfolio by launching two new car models – Carrera and Carrera S. The company has started selling both of these models through its dealerships in the country. Blessed with the same unique styling and designing, the 2011 Carrera model The car carries a price tag of Rs. 96,97,000 (Ex-Showroom New Delhi).
Powered by a 3.4 liter boxer power train coupled with PDK transmission, the Carrera model is capable of breaking the speed barrier of 100 km per hour in just 4.6 seconds. On the other hand, the manual transmission version will be taking 4.8 seconds to achieve the same. Top speeds of these two models are 287 and 289 km per hour, respectively.
The higher variant Carrera S is powered by a 3.8 liter engine that is capable of delivering a peak power of 400 hp along with a maximum torque of 440 Nm at 5,600 rpm. When using with its PDK transmission, the 911 Carrera S model crosses the speed mark of 100 km per hour in just 4.3 seconds, while it takes 4.5 seconds when coupled with manual transmission. The Carrera S is priced at Rs. 1,13,37,000 (Ex-Showroom New Delhi).
All of these four models deliver a fuel economy in the range of 5 km per liter to 6 km per liter.
