      Peugeot to mark its presence in India by forming partnership with Tata Motors

      PSA Peugeot Citreon has been working on its comeback in India since quite a while now. The company is likely to mark its presence in India by forming a strong partnership with country popular automaker Tata Motors. Post collaboration, both the companies may also share their engine technology to strengthen their presence in the Indian market. Tata Motors plant in Sanand, Gujarat could likely be used for assembling Peugeot cars in India.

      The Tata's Sanand plant was primarily meant for production of Nano, but as the vehicle has not been meeting up to the anticipated sales, it could be used for assembling Peugeot cars. PSA Peugeot Citreon has been on the look-out for tie-up with a reputed local carmaker who have good spare parts and product distribution reach along with good brand recall. For now the company has not confirmed if it would join hands with Tata Motors even that it most probably shall opt for them.

      Post collaboration PSA Peugeot Citreon would launch interesting models like 08 hatchback, 308 sedan and the 2008 crossover in India. With strong plans, the company expects to win own the hearts of domestic carbuyers who have been looking out for new options. More details shall be known at a later date.
