The Mahindra Genio facelift spotted by sources shows the company's new aggressive approach towards the pick-up segment. The Genio based on Xylo platform shall be powered by 2.5-litre mDICRDe diesel engine that is available in both single- and dual-cab configurations. The engine generates a decent 74Bhp pf power with 220Nm of torque. The vehicle offers an impressive payload capacity of about 1100 kg.
In terms of design upgrades, the new Mahindra Genio gets a new front fascia featuring new grill, bonnet, headlamps, and bumper. The five floating element design on the grill indeed is something that renders it a completely new look. More details about the vehicle is not known for now, but sources have indicated that the dual-cab VX variants shall feature amenities like 2-DIN music system and air-conditioning system.
Sources have further stated that the new design could also find its place in the Quanto/Xylo facelifts to make it more appealing to interested customers. Apart from smoked-up headlamps the interiors also carry a richer feel than the older model. The launch details and pricing aspect may only be known at a later date.
