The Germany based luxury car maker Porsche has hinted to expand the range of their Panamera line-up by unveiling the concept version of their Panamera Sport Turismo model. The new Panamera Sport Turismo will be the first ever Porsche model that comes equipped with plug-in capability with Porsche petrol-electric hybrid system. However, the company is still quite on the timeline of the introduction o this new concept.
It is to be mentioned here that the new Panamera Sport Turismo is one the few Panamera-based models to which company is planning to roll-out since the introduction of this series three years back. This is a urban five door model which carries a range of upgrades including an extended roofline, angled tailgate and a longer glasshouse.
According to the company, “The body concept of the Panamera Sport Turismo is an outlook on a possible Porsche sports car of tomorrow.” The car is expected to enter the global market by year 2016. The car will be competing with the likes of Audi A6 Avant and Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake.
