The new generation Nissan X-Trail is portrayed to carry more impressive amendments in its design as per the recent teaser image release. The Japan based automaker Nissan Motors is aiming to recreate the global success of its compact crossover SUV, Qashqai with the introduction of the new X-Trail in the same segment.

The new version of the SUV will embody smooth and lustrous styled detailing bypassing the box kind of and tough looking design. The ride and handling of the X-Trail will have more inclination towards on-road driving experience.

The two-wheel and the four-wheel drive transmissions are planning to undergo fabrication and for the first time the X-Trail will possess the two-wheel drive transmission.

The company is planning to release the SUV in a five-seater version along with the already planned seven-seater version, which is set to be positioned against its long time rival player Ford S-Max that has proved a successful model in the segment.

Even though Nissan Motors has not yet revealed the engine specifications and technical details, the X-Trail is expected to have 2.0L core diesel engine. The SUV will be showcased at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show and will hit the European automobile hub in the later 2013.
