Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited has launched a new sports variant of its model CB Unicorn in the Indian market. The new bike is priced at Rs. 62,900 and is powered by 150cc air-cooled single cylinder power plant, versus the old model at Rs 59,000. The bike is Honda's attempt to retain its commuter segment customers with its tried and tested engine.
The new Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler model intends to grab the market share of Yamaha FZ and Fazer series. Its new styling and new positioning strategy also intends to lure young buyers in the 150cc segment. The new variant is available in four colours and sports features like maintenance-free battery, mono-suspension and new aggressive styling, which should be good enough for customers to shell out extra premium for the bike.
Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler also claims the best mileage in its class of 60kmpl along with a revised Bharat Stage III rated engine. HMSCI will start sales of the new model from end-May and intends to sell at least 1.2 lakh units of both 150cc bikes in current fiscal.
