Hero MotoCorp will soon launch the updated version of its popular commuter bikes – Super Splendor and Splendor Pro – in the Indian market. Both the bikes will receive new graphics and additional features, along with tuned engines.

With significant styling updates, the new Super Splendor will look sleeker and more refreshing than the existing model. Similar to the Splendor iSmart, it will get a start-stop system, and several new features. In order to improve its braking capabilities, the company might re-introduce the optional disc brake as a standard feature.

Powering the new Super Splendor will be the same 125cc engine that does duty to existing model. Though, it will be tuned for extra power and better fuel efficiency. The handling and ride quality, too, will be improved, thanks to the tweaked telescopic hydraulic fork up front and swing arm with 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock rear suspension system. Just like the Super Splendor, the new Splendor Pro will see some cosmetic and mechanical changes. The bike will be powered by a tuned 97cc, 2-cylinder petrol engine.

While the new Hero Super Splendor will rival the Honda Shine, Yamaha Saluto and Bajaj Discover 125, the new Hero Splendor Pro will take on the Honda Dream Yuga and Bajaj Platina. Besides these two bikes, the home-grown two-wheeler maker will also roll out Hero Hastur, Hero HX250X, Hero Leap Hybrid Scooter and Hero ZIR 150cc Scooter by the end of this year.
