      New generation Chevrolet Captiva spotted testing in Manali

      2012 Chevrolet Captiva, the new generation version of popular luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV) from the camp of US based leading car maker General Motors, is all set to be launched in the Indian auto market soon. The SUV was recently spotted testing near Manali, as clicked by a reader of a leading automotive magazine. The vehicle is expected to hit the Indian roads by early next year.

      The new spy pictures confirm the earlier speculations that the new generation version of Captiva will be carrying a number of cosmetic changes ay both exterior and interior fronts. In the spy pictures, the new Captiva has been seen carrying a bold and larger grille at front, which is the same grille design that has been used in all new age Chevy vehicles worldwide including the compact hatchback Chevrolet Beat and premium sedan Chevrolet Cruze. The headlamps are now restyled and look somewhat similar to the same of Mitsubishi Outlander. However, the changes made by the company in the interior are yet to be known.

      Besides the cosmetic upgrades, the new Chevrolet Captiva is also expected to be carrying a number of technical refinements including a refined engine with better power and better fuel economy. The new 2.2 Liter engine of the car will be delivering a peak power of 184 bhp. The NVH (noise vibration and Harshness) level of the engine is also expected to be reduced considerably in the new Captiva.
