According to recent media reports, the country’s largest luxury vehicle maker BMW is all set to launch the luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV) X3 on 23rd June of this year in the Indian market. This will be the year 2012 edition of BMW X3, claim these news reports. The new BMW X3 is expected to be launched in almost similar price range as the existing model of BMW X3. The car will be competing with the likes of Audi Q5, amongst others. According to the reports, the new BMW X3 has been codenamed as N20.
The new BMW X3 is claimed to be powered by a 2.0L diesel engine, though the maximum power and torque figures are yet to be announced by the company. The all new BMW X3 is claimed to be delivering a high mileage of 12 kmpl.
Along with the normal version of the car, the company is also expected to launch a high powered turbocharged version of the car in the country. The launch of new BMW X3 2012 will further strengthen the position of BMW SUV series which includes the likes of X1 and X5.
