Mitsubishi sells its cars in India in association with Hindustan Motors. The company is all set to launch Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X model in the Indian market in July 2010, under the moniker Evo 10. The anticipated price of the model is Rs. 30 lakh as the car will be imported as completely built unit. It aims to sell around 100 units and does not have an immediate plans to start a manufacturing plant for the same.
The car uses the USP of its rugged engine and a smooth driving experience rather than selling the car on the basis of its looks. The car is a five seater luxury and has four doors and runs on 2 L Turbocharged Incline -4 engine with fuel injectors with stainless steel pipes that is capable of producing 403 bhp and 387 lb ft of torque at 3500 rpm.
Mitsubishi intends to sell the fully-loaded model so that the customers are not left disappointed.
