Maruti Suzuki has announced that it will hike prices across its range from April 1. This hike applies for both the Arena vehicles and the Nexa retailed cars and is the second hike that Maruti has instituted this year with the previous one being in January.
In January, they hiked prices to the tune of 1.1 per cent and the updated prices came into effect on January 16. In an official statement, the automaker said it continues to witness increased cost pressure driven by overall inflation and regulatory requirements. While the company makes the maximum effort to reduce cost and partially offset the increase, it has become imperative to pass on some of the impacts through a price increase.
In related news, Maruti Suzuki will open its innings for the new financial year with the launch of the JImny and Fronx, both of which were showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo earlier this year.
