      Maruti Suzuki expected to usher-in Ciaz Z+ trim next year

      Maruti Suzuki's Ciaz is new pack leader in the sedan segment from the company's production line. The recently launched Ciaz sedan from Maruti Suzuki is available in petrol and diesel trims. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedan is offered at price tag between Rs. 6.99 Lakhs to Rs. 9.80 lakhs (Prices are ex-showroom Delhi based). Fresh reports have been coming-in stating that Maruti Suzuki has been working on a top end 'Z+' trim in the Indian market. The Ciaz Z+ shall be positioned above Z(O) variant.

      Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is available in V, V+, Z and Z (O) trims. The Z (O) is considered as a top end offering from the brand that is loaded with features like 16-inch alloys and full leather upholstery amongst other interesting features. The upcoming Z+ trim shall get all features that is available in existing top end variant, but as an addition the Z+ shall receive a touchscreen infotainment system. Pricing aspect has not been spoken about in detail for now, but it likely to be priced slightly over the existing top end variant.

      As per ARAI ratings, the diesel variant of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz delivers an impressive fuel efficiency figure of about 26.21 kmpl, whereas the petrol trim delivers 20.73 kmpl. The petrol version of Ciaz is powered by K-Series 1.4 Liter engine that delivers a power output of about 94 Bhp with 130 Nm of torque. The diesel variant of Ciaz sedan is powered by 1.3 Liter Multi-jet engine that is capable of delivering a power output of about 89 Bhp of power with about 200 Nm of torque. The Petrol version is available in five speed manual transmission and its automatic variant is mated to a four-speed transmission. Speaking about company's plans, Ram Suresh Akella, Commercial Business Head of the Southern Region declared, "The initial plan was to sell about 60,000 to 70,000 units in the country. About 10,000 customers have already made their bookings of which 60 per cent are for diesel cars and 40 per cent for petrol vehicles."
