Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been one of the best-selling MPVs throughout. With 7 and 8 seating options, this is one of the best family cars available in the market. But with recent transitions and advancements, a facelift model of Ertiga has been designed by the carmakers.

This cosmetically upgraded version of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is said to be unveiled at the upcoming Indonesian International Auto Show in August 2015. Davy J. Tulian, Suzuki Indomobil Sales Deputy Managing Partner says that there will be 28 cars displayed in that exhibit, along with the one new car.

There were a few spy images that leaked of this proposed facelift version. The changes included a new bumper, a three-layered chrome grille, and a new wheel design. These were just the minor changes that were noticed in the images. The automaker plans to launch some huge changes along with these in order to conquer the market.

The technical details of the facelift version are still unknown as the confirmations from the carmaker have not yet been received. Nevertheless, the presently available version of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes in 3 engine options – diesel, petrol and CNG. A 1.4L K-series engine is responsible for churning out power in the petrol version, while in case of a diesel version; the responsibility is levied down upon a 1.3L multijet diesel engine. Both have a 5-speed manual transmission system.

There have been speculations of an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) System expected to be installed in the above mentioned variants, thus increasing the price tag by a small amount.

The reports that the launch of this facelift will be in the Indonesia International Auto Show are still under scrutiny and have no solid proof. But nevertheless, there have been hidden talks in the office of the automaker that the unveiling of the facelift will be in that expo. So the enthusiasts will have to wait till August 2015 for getting a final look of the facelifted version along with learning about the new features and technical details that the car has to offer.
