The much awaited new Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is expected to be launched in the country very soon. The car will be competing with the likes of Tata Nano and Hyundai EON in the Indian auto market. The new Alto 800 will be launched in the price segment of sub Rs 2 lakh.
The new Alto will be powered by the same 796 CC engine which has been doing duties in the current model of this range. However, there are expected a number of upgrades at both interior and exterior fronts.
The major highlights of the exterior of the car include high-mounted headlights, a huge secondary air-inlet, and a sleek slot-like grille. In a bid to offer better visibility, the company engineers have provided a wider u shaped windscreen at rear along with wider boot gate.
Inside, the car is expected to be carrying a number of upgrades including better quality material and a more spacious cabin. Besides this, the car will be much safer than before with updated chassis that offers better crash protection.
