      Mahindra Racing joins hands with Suter to develop Mahindra Moto3 for season 2013

      Mahindra Racing, a part of the country’s largest utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra, is all set to join hands with Swiss company Suter Racing Technology AG. The joint venture of the both of these companies will be developing an all new Mahindra Moto3 model which will be taking part in the World Championship season 2013. The Suter Racing is currently run by the Eskil Suter, the former Grand Prix rider.

      Following their debut in the outgoing 125cc two-stroke class in the MotoGP in 2010, the company had marked their entry in the four-stroke, 250cc single-cylinder Moto3 class in year 2012. However, the performance of the team was not up to the mark due to sluggishly performing engine.

      Speaking to the reporters, Mahindra’s President of Group Strategy and Member of the Group Executive Board, Mr. S.P. Shukla said, “We have said this before and we reiterate that Mahindra is committed to succeeding in MotoGP. We have been impressed by Suter Racing Technology - its track record, facilities and expertise and its Moto3 bike design."

      He added that "Mahindra’s presence in MotoGP is important for the future of the sport and I am proud that our company has been chosen to help them achieve their goals.”
