Maruti Entigra, the much awaited multi utility vehicle (MUV) from Maruti’s camp, will soon hit the Indian roads. The company seems to be in the final stage of the testing and development of the RIII model as it is appearing time and again in the spy shots taken on while car is being tested on Indian roads.
This time around, the Maruti Entigra was spotted in a fascinating black color, indicating at its early launch in the Indian market. The Maruti RIII concept was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo January, where it had proved to be a showstopper at the Maruti platform. From the spy pictures, the car looks shorter in dimensions as compared to the segment leader Toyota Innova.
With the launch of mini MPV – Maruti Entigra, the company is looking forward to mark its debut in the crossover segment which has been dominated by the likes of Toyota Innova. The other competitors of the car will be Mahindra Xylo and Tata Aria. The Entigra would be be launched in the price segment of sub Rs 7 lakh where it is expected to drive high volumes for the company.
The car is expected to be powered by a 1.4L petrol K14 series engine that would be capable of delivering a peak power of 95 bhp. A diesel version is also, powered by 1.3 liter engine that will deliver a maximum power of 89 bhp.
