Mark Webber, F1 Race Driver and team mate of the current World Champion Sebastian Vettel for Team Red Bull- Renault, has a whimsical attribute to his personality as well. Webber put aside his racing gear and fastened his cricket shoes, as he tagged along with the popular Indian cricketer - Gautam Gambhir, for a small round of cricket at the Noida International University.

Expressing his delight on coming for the 2012 Indian Formula One Grand Prix, the 26 year old Australian Webber said, "A trip to India is incomplete without the delicious food and a game of cricket. Cricket as a sport requires a lot of concentration and hand-eye coordination, especially under extreme conditions, and so does Formula One."

Being an Australian, Webber also has some cricket in his DNA, as was evident from his small yet enthusiastic cricketing session with Gambhir. The Indian opener bowled a number of balls to the Formula One exponent, amid great energy and interest from onlookers and the media present.

With the Indian round of globally renowned motor sport being just round the corner, commenting on his race strategy, Webber added, "Hunger is still there as every race is a new challenge for us. We would like to win every race to end the season on a high. Yes, we have a good lead at the constructors' table to the day. Everyone associated with the team has put in a massive effort to take us where we are right now. There would be nothing more satisfying than to win the teams' championship three years in a row. It's a very special achievement for Red Bull. The next two events are very important that we keep our foot on their throats and see how the next few go. We are not looking at the points really. We need to reap in the maximum from the races ahead."

At present, Mark Webber is sitting at the fifth position with 152 points on the 2012 Formula One Driver Standings, which is topped by his team mate Sebastian Vettel with 215 points. Webber is marginally lead by the McLaren driver, Lewis Hamilton with 153 score and enjoys a comfortable differential with Jenson Button, who is at sixth place with 131 points.
