Excited with the staggering response received by its new XUV 500 sports utility vehicle, the largest selling utility vehicle making brand in the country, is all set to raise the production capacity of this SUV to meet the skyrocketing demand for the vehicle. The firm is planning to raise the monthly production to 5,000 units as compared to the 2,000 units at present.
It is to be mentioned here that the company had launched the XUV 500 in October 2011, receiving an overwhelming response from the buyers. In just 10 initial days of its launch in the Indian market, the company had received over 8000 bookings for this model, covering the production of over four months.
In January last week, the company had opened the bookings of this vehicle again for a period of just 10 days from 25th January to 3rd Feb, receiving over 25,000 bookings in just 10 days. The company has selected only 7,500 lucky customers from these 25,000 customers through a lucky draw.
Meanwhile, the firm is all set to launch a new mini version of its popular multi utility vehicle Xylo in the country in the upcoming Diwali season, in the period of October - November 2012.
