When Mahindra launched the Thar 4X2 in January, it announced two new colours- Everest White and Blazing Bronze both of which have now been opened up for the 4X4 versions. Overall now the Mahindra across all three engine options is available across six different colour options.
The Mahindra Thar 4X2 is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 117bhp/300Nm and mated to a six-speed manual. The more powerful 2.0-litre diesel produces 130bhp/300Nm while the 2.0-litre petrol produces 112bhp and 300/320Nm (AT). Both engines can be had with a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.
The Thar is available in the AX (O) and LX trims in hardtop and soft top body styles. We have of course driven the Thar on multiple occasions including our 2021 off-road day as well as the recently launched Thar 4X2 RWD petrol automatic.
