Defence Land Systems, a Mahindra owned firm has inducted bulletproof kit for Mahindra Scorpio SUV. The new kit is being proffered in three variants-Executive, premium and VVIP at a cost of Rs 12.67 lakh, Rs 16.07 lakh and Rs 18.33 lakh respectively. Interested customers can book any of the three kits by paying Rs 75,000. A two year warranty is also being provided by the company along with a 1 year free insurance for all the equipments being proffered in the bulletproof kits. Apart from this, no cost will be charged for the first six services, these kits can also be purchased from Snapdeal.
The new kit available for Scorpio will ensure security for passengers sitting inside the SUV. Scorpio equipped with bullet-proof kit will protect passengers in case a shot is fired at 90 degree angle from a 9mm pistol from a distance of 5m.Besides this, a real time tracking device is also available in this kit and use of fire suppression material in the fuel tank will prevent the vehicle from catching fire.
The Executive kit comes with various features including a bulletproof glass, fire proof fuel tank, real time vehicle tracking device and bulletproof body panels. Apart from the above mentioned features, the premium kit also offers bulletproof panel and run flat system which permits a driver to run the SUV in case the tyre is hit by bullet. VVIP kit on the other hand comes with additional exquisite features like bulletproof glass with power windows and blast proof carpet.
