Mahindra USA, the completely owned division of India-based Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), has opened the doors of its fourth distribution and assembly unit in Bloomsburg, North America. Interestingly, Mahindra USA happens to be the world's largest tractor selling brand in terms of volume.

The company's authorised distribution centre in Bloomsburg is believed to hold specialisation in meeting with the demands of new vehicles introduced by the company, including Mahindra Max series tractors and compact tractors. Both of these ranges have been exclusively designed for the US market. The new facility will not just act as a distribution network for Mahindra vehicles, but will also benefit the company's dealers by providing them enhanced cost-savings techniques.

The new distribution facility will also allow the company to adjoin new partners, who will render best in class services to the company and will also help it expand brand presence in the region by supporting new customers.

President – Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors of M&M, Dr. Pawan Goenka, quoted, “The opening of this newest assembly and distribution center represents our commitment to growing our tractor business in North America. The new facility will provide support and service to Mahindra’s northeast United States and eastern Canadian dealers and partners. The center, to be operated in partnership with TPC Power Center, will also create a positive impact on the Bloomsburg and surrounding area’s economy.”

Expressing the same sentiments, Chief Executive - International Operations (Automobile and Farm Sectors) of M&M, Ruzbeh Irani, said, “The new facility is a validation of our commitment to the success of our dealer partners and customers. Mahindra and TPC have converted an empty warehouse on five acres into a fully-functional 40,000 square foot facility that will employ up to 30 people in the operation as it moves into full production. Initially, the facility will assemble 200 Mahindra tractors per month with the capacity to produce 500 per month.”

The inauguration of the new facility was an important occasion for the company, which was a symbol for local, regional, national and global imprint of support. Sharing the limelight, dignitaries from all across the world marked their attendance in the ceremony.
